HOSPITAL POLICIES
Please review our appointment, emergency, drop-off, safety, and payment policies before your visit. These policies help our team provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care for every patient.
Walk-ins welcome. Appointments preferred. Emergencies given priority
We operate primarily by appointment to allow appropriate time for every patient and scheduled surgical procedure.
Emergency cases always receive top priority during regular hospital hours.
Convenient drop-off appointments are available for patients who need to remain with our medical team.
All vaccinations must be up to date for the safety of every animal in our care.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, Dr. Negola’s Veterinary Hospital operates primarily by appointment.
Emergency cases always receive top priority. Because urgent and life-threatening cases may require the immediate attention of our medical team, occasional appointment delays may be unavoidable.
Please understand that we make every sincere effort to see each client at their scheduled appointment time. We appreciate your patience and understanding whenever an emergency affects our schedule.
If your pet has an emergency during our regular hospital hours, please come in immediately. Whenever possible, please call us before coming or while you are en route. Advance notice allows our team to prepare for your arrival and provide prompt attention to your pet.
Drop-off appointments are available for select services and procedures. This helps us provide the best care while reducing stress for your pet.
For your convenience, drop-off appointments are available.
A drop-off appointment allows you to bring your pet to the hospital in the morning and leave them in our care. Your pet will be examined and, when necessary, treated between scheduled appointments or during the time specifically reserved for admitted patients.
As soon as the doctor has completed the examination, our team will contact you to review the diagnosis, possible treatment options, at-home care instructions, medications to be dispensed, discharge information, and the expected pickup time.
Arrange your pet’s drop-off appointment with our hospital team.
Bring your pet to the hospital during the designated morning drop-off period.
The doctor examines your pet and provides treatment when necessary.
We will call you to discuss the findings and let you know when your pet is ready to go home.
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date.
Although we make every effort to help our patients feel comfortable during their visit, pets may feel uneasy around unfamiliar people, new surroundings, or other animals.
Dogs should remain on a secure leash while entering, leaving, or waiting inside the hospital. If you do not have a leash with you, please let our team know and we will be happy to provide one as a courtesy when available.
Cats should be safely transported in an appropriate carrier.
We may recommend additional vaccines based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, and risk factors.
We would like to acknowledge and thank our long-time clients who have faithfully followed our payment-at-the-time-of-service policy.
If you are a new client, please review the following payment policy before your visit.
Veterinary services are paid in full no later than the time of discharge.
Veterinary services paid in full by the time of discharge will receive a 20 percent Paid-in-Full discount on the services provided during that visit.
Payment may be made by cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or any combination of these payment methods.
We reserve the right to rescind the 20 percent discount if payment is declined.
This 20 percent discount is in lieu of any other discount and cannot be used in combination with other discounts. The exception is for pre-paid Puppy, Kitten, Adult Dog, or Adult Cat Care Plans or Well-Care or Golden Year Plans (for which the prepaid and the paid in full discounts have been applied). We also offer certain seasonal promotions, such as Dental and Heartworm, which may include discounts in addition to the 20 percent discount.
We understand that unexpected expenses can be challenging. CareCredit® financing options are available to help you provide the care your pet needs.
Please ask our team for details or visit our website for more information.
For accounts that are not paid in full, bills will be sent twice monthly, on the 1st and the 15th of each month.
To offset the cost of billing, a $5.00 charge will be added to the outstanding balance each time a bill is mailed. A 1 percent finance charge will also be applied each month.
To avoid the $5.00 billing charge and the 1 percent finance charge, payment must be received within 14 days of the billing date.
Accounts more than 90 days old may be referred to a third party for collection.
We appreciate your cooperation and welcome your comments. Please contact our team if you have questions about our appointment policies, payment options, drop-off visits, or your pet’s upcoming appointment.
