In 1885, $30,000 was allocated to the Department of War to import camels to use in transporting military supplies. By 1887, the USA Camel Corps had 75 camels at Camp Verde, Texas. The camels were great for hauling materials across the desert and on to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the Civil War disrupted the program and most of the camels were auctioned-off. Some went to circuses and others went to work for mines and construction companies. Some escaped – with sightings of them until the 20th Century. (FYE: A camel with two humps is a “Bactrian Camel”. A one hump camel is a “Dromedary Camel” and is sometimes called an “Arabian Camel”.
Un-retired seniors are picking up side hustles to pay their bills by driving for Uber, delivering packages, and caring for other’s pets. Retired nurses can even administer medicine. But the largest group are those that are dog walking. It’s good exercise and it’s in fresh air! Dog walking is the thing! Some are making as much as $1,000 to $2,000 a month. You go guys and gals… remember it’s good for you and for the pets.
Want an interesting breed of dog? Look at the Border Terrier. They are hardy, energetic, and affectionate. Small-to-medium in size, Border Terriers are 11 to 16 pounds, with wiry coats and cute faces. They need training, exercise and mental stimulation, and may have a habit of digging or barking if bored. Border Terriers bond strongly with their owners, and live 12 to 15 years. They are rugged, outdoorsy dogs, and then are happy to curl up on the couch.

Cats sometimes get blackheads in their chins from drinking water out of a plastic bowl. A chemical reaction between water and the plastic is the cause. Please use clean pottery or stainlesssteel bowls for your cat’s water. This also keeps the water cooler.
What do you call a pig that flies?
Pigasus !
