HEALTH DEPARTMENT

Be sure to have all dogs tested for HEARTWORMS, and include prevention—mosquitoes are here! Reminder: All vaccinations should be up to date. Especially Bordetella which is a highly contagious respiratory infection caused by the Bordetella bronchiseptica bacterium. It affects both dogs and cats, and because it can spread between the two species, vaccination is an important part of protecting pets who may be
exposed.

RESCUE DEPARTMENT

We’re very fortunate to have fabulous local wildlife rescue help. SECOND CHANCE WILDLIFE CENTER is open 7 days a week, and has new digs at 26400 Haines Road, Clarksburg, MD. Always call ahead to 301-926-9453. You rescue; they re-habilitate!

Don’t forget to send in your rescue story … Let me know how you rescued your pet. I’ll include your story and your pet’s photo in our newsletter!
