May & June
2026
These first four “blasts” have been the introduction as we build our website. We
thought it would be fun to share the construction photos and our progress.
This will be the last “blast” as we’re now ready to offer our website within a website in
just a few weeks.
The website will contain the usual information found on most websites, Contact
information such as name and address, phone and FAX, an introductory Home,
Hospital Policies, Hours, our Doctor bio and our Private Policy document.
The highlight, however, will be our blog called: Negola’s News. This will be the fun
section and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy creating it for you. It’s the web
within the web. Our goal is to acquaint our readers with some information about
keeping your pets healthy without making it seem like a chore or too boring to be
bothered with.
We have a Monthly Themes calendar we’ve used for this purpose for many years. Next
issue we’ll publish it for you. This will be our inaugural edition, Volume 1. So this issue
will be based on April. Our next issue should be out soon and it will be for May.
Hopefully we may even get our June issue published before the end of June.
For now we’ll acknowledge that we’re a little behind as construction took much
longer than expected but we’ve been blessed with a contractor who knows cutting
corners is never a good thing.
Stay tuned until the last of this blast for more exciting news!
Photo 1 & 2:
Well, we’re almost there and although we still have paper-covered
windows at least we have some of the reception furniture in place. It looks a little bare
but should look more like home once we have permission to open and invite pets and
their people to join us.
Photo 3:
This is the beginnings of the surgery suite. The wall
at the back will be covered with monitors and medical/surgical equipment handy to the two surgical tables. You can also see the ceiling-mounted surgical lamps but notice the window at the top of the wall which lets in lots of wonderful natural lighting
Photo 4 & 5:
The treatment room is quite spacious with lots of equipment (notice the ICU unit in both photos). The treatment island features dental cleaning sinks at both ends with lots of storage around the walls.
Photo 6:
Once again we share a glimpse of the live
plant wall. You’ll notice it’s basking in the wonderful plant light and growing happily. This beautiful feature not only brings life and warmth to our hospital, but it also served as the inspiration for our upcoming blog,
Negola’s News.
See the resemblance?
Now sharing some good news
with you…
Dr. Negola’s Veterinary Hospital opened quietly on June 1 exactly one year
from the day the wonderful space was found in Fallsgrove Village Center on
Shady Grove Road in Rockville, Maryland.
Many of you may know just where the new hospital is located without even realizing it. If you know
where Shady Grove Adventist Hospital is on Shady Grove Road, you also know where Fallsgrove Village
is…right across the street at the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Fallsgrove Boulevard (not to be
mistaken with Fallsgrove Road). The shopping center is home to multiple choices of food eateries,
Safeway and several banks as well as other fun destinations.
On this first day we were welcomed in by “Nugget”, a delightful neutered male Golden Retriever. His lucky owner has allowed us to use
his charming photo as he greets our Receptionist Extraordinaire of 25 years, Kim. Wouldn’t it be
wonderful to greet each day with his attitude of peace and serenity?
Nugget was our very first patient at our new location.
Please stop in to see us as we’d love to see YOU and your pet or pets.
